Cruising into a new season

Hey there,

Well would'ya look at that! All this talk of yearning for spring and here it is upon us. And what better way to celebrate Thursday being the first day of a bright, new, happy season, than to get outside and enjoy it!

Evan and I were glad to hear that a few runners still gathered for the regular trail run last Saturday in our absence! Thanks to Jenny and Cindy for offering to hold down the fort for any new folks that decided to come out.

Here's the plan for this week:

Wednesday Workout
Let's get on the track again for a cruise interval workout. We'll meet at the LVHS track at 6:30. After a few laps of warmup, we'll do:

- 3 x 5 minutes at T pace with 60 seconds recovery
- 4-6 x 100 meter strides with full recovery in between

Saturday Trail Run
Meet at 8am at Bruce's parking area for a run up the middle fork trail.

If you're new to the Saturday trail runs, know that you don't need to worry about the distance. We typically get out for 45 to 75 minutes, but folks should always feel free to go as long or short as they feel comfortable.

If you haven't already, and would like to get these weekly updates straight to your inbox, register for our weekly newsletter (sent out Tuesdays as well) in the right column of this blog page.

Also, with warmer days approaching - seriously, mother nature? Exactly at the moment I'm typing this? Is that snow I see coming down outside?! Whatever - we're hoping to see more folks deciding to give LRC a try. Don't forget to help spread the word by "Liking" us on Facebook, if you haven't already, and/or by sharing a link to the blog on social media.

Thanks e'rybody! Looking forward to seeing you soon!

Amber and Evan
