T-pace at the Track and JBR on Saturday!
Happy first full week of April! We hope you all had a wonderful holiday weekend. Thanks to Kevin and Marina, a lot of us got to enjoy a good old fashioned easter egg hunt on Sunday complete with the competativeness you'd expect of adults re-discovering their inner-children and candy consumption at levels I haven't even scratched since childhood (Yeah...that happened. Starburst jellybeans?? What is this witchcraft?).
Evan is in Jackson this week with Creative Energies, so you're stuck with me blowing the whistle! Muahahaha! Don't worry, I promise to be nice.
The weather looks to be cooling off again this week with snow possible on Wednesday, but we'll shoot for the track anyway!
Wednesday Track Workout
Meet at the LVHS Track at 5:45 pm and get in a couple of warm-up laps on your own. It's T-pace again this week! We'll do 3 x 5 minutes with 2 minutes rest in between. As always, don't forget to cool-down for 10 to 15 minutes afterward!
Saturday Trail Run
The weather looks warmer again on Saturday. Let's meet at 9am at the trailhead at Johnny Behind the Rocks and we'll head out for about an hour loop.
Just a reminder to mark your calendars! The Moccassin Lake Challenge is May 23rd and Run the Red is May 30th! In addition to the half marathon, Run the Red has a 23(ish) mile option this year with very limited entry - sign-up now if you want to secure one of the longer spots!
