To those who were around at last weekend's Dolomite Dash, solid work out there! LRC had a strong showing. Many thanks to Emily Tilden and her crew as well as the Climbers' Fest folks for for putting on such a great event (and making one heck of an awesome breakfast!). For those interested in results, you can find them here. If you've never done the Dolomite Dash before (formerly known as the Wild Iris Mountain Runs) you're missing out. Really. There are even a variety of distance options so there's really no excuse ;)
T-pace! You know you love it.
Meet at the LVHS track at 6:30pm. We're doin' 3 x 5 minutes at T-pace with 90 seconds rest in between followed by some barefoot strides on the grass.
Make sure you get in a proper 10-15 minute warm up and cool down!
We won't be in town this weekend, but the weather is looking lovely around here! If you haven't found yourself a race somewhere, we hope you get out onto the trails! Maybe coordinate on the LRC Facebook page for running buddies. Might we suggest taking advantage of the Loop Road being open and heading out from Worthen Meadows to the Stough Creek Basin and back? Or from Worthen down to the Middle Fork Trail and up toward Pinto Park? We all might as well run on the trails that we don't have access to in the wintertime while we still can. Fairfield can get pretty old when we're doing it every weekend in February!
That's all we've got for you this week. Have a good one and we'll see you Wednesday night at the track! I'm bringing popsicles!!
