Happy 2016! We're moving to Mondays!

Hi friends and Happy New Year!

Now that we're mostly all trickled back to Lander from our holiday travels, it's time to kick it back into gear.

Announcements

  • We're moving our weekly workouts to Monday nights to start us off in 2016. 
  • This week will be our last outdoor workout for a while. LRC will be substituting a Yoga for Athletes class at Ananda Yoga while the evenings are still dark and cold and the roads and track are icy. We thought you might get tired of hills every week. As the weather warms, we might add outdoor workouts back in even as the yoga class is still running, but we'll keep you posted. 

Monday Workout
This week, meet at the LVHS parking lot, near the track at 5:30pm. We'll warm up over to Garner for some hill repeats - 10 x 30 seconds.

Yoga for Athletes - Mondays 7:30-8:30pm
Starting next week, January 18th, Yoga for Athletes starts at Ananda - 7:30-8:30pm. We're getting the space (and heat) at a community rate from the studio, so drop-ins are $4 and a ten pack (recommended) is $30 (You can pay with cash, check or a credit card). That's a super sweet deal. Amber and Alyssa will take turns teaching. It's going to be a blast, so we hope you'll commit to coming! For your planning purposes, this class is on the studio schedule every Monday night for at least 10 weeks and possibly longer depending on what the turnout looks like. Also, like LRC, this class is open to the public, so bring a friend!

Twin Mountain Trudge
A lot of Lander folks have registered for this filled race. If you've registered, but aren't planning to go, please email the race director, Sandra Biller to let her know so that someone on the long waiting list can get in. If you ARE going, please feel free to use the Lander Running Club Facebook page to coordinate for carpooling.
