September Newsletter: Wednesday workouts are back Sept. 7th!

Hi friends!

Welcome to the September addition of the LRC monthly newsletter. Apologies for the absence of an August newsletter and more importantly, for the absence of August workouts, but...August was a crazy month for us. To start, we done got hitched! We know most of you thought we were married already so you're probably more surprised to hear that bit, but you know us...we're always happy to provide a little unpredictability and surprise in your lives.

Now that the craziness has fallen away and we're able to achieve the minimum existence of cooking a proper dinner, mowing our lawn and cleaning our house again, we're ready to get back at LRC workouts too! Thanks for your understanding!

Here's what we've got for you in September, let us know if you hear of any races or events that we've missed as well and we'll update it here on the blog.

Wednesday Workouts: 5:30 pm at LVHS
*All workouts should be preceded with a proper 10-15 minute warm-up and similarly timed cool down run. Don't hurt yourselves! Ain't nobody got time for that.

  • September 7th:  Threshold (T) pace: 3 x 5 minutes followed by 4 strides on the football field (or if football practice is still going, the soccer fields/practice fields).
  • September 14th: Mixed bag: 1 x 5 minutes T pace, 2 x 3 minutes @ I pace, 2 x 2 minutes @ I pace.
  • September 21st: 1 x 6 minutes @ T pace, 2 x 4 minutes @ I pace, 2 x 30 seconds @ R pace.
  • September 28th: Hills! 10 x 30 seconds. Meet at LVHS and warm up to Garner (intersection with Cascade). For folks meeting us there, give us until 5:45 before you decide to give up and run by yourself!

Local Events
Moccasin Lake Challenge, is this Saturday! September 3rd. You can find other information here: You probably don't want to miss it.
