The Lander Running Club: Run to Your Summit
We are a community running club in Lander, Wyoming at the base of the wild and rugged Wind River Mountains. We hold monthly events including clinics, races, group runs, and other social activities. Check out our Events Calendar for what is coming up next. Questions, comments, or ideas for LRC can be sent to: Landerrunning@gmail.com.
LRC leaders organize and conduct clinics, and act as race directors. We're also here to support you as you run to your summit, whatever your summit may be.
After years of hyper-competitive collegiate soccer, Gabe found running on the trails and in the mountains to be ridiculously fun and refreshing. The challenge of ultramarathons became alluring, and Gabe has completed numerous ultras all over the mountain west, including top-10 finishes at The Bear 100 and Bighorn 100. The competitive spirit never fully went away, and Gabe has won races such as the Scout Mountain 100K and has a course record at the Never Summer 100K. But most of all, Gabe just enjoys big days in the mountains running, exploring, and scrambling up peaks. Gabe's personal running blog is Wind River Running. In 2007, she ran her laps at the NCAA DII Indoor Championships in the 400m and 4x400m relay and left with All-American status. After graduating and moving to Lander, Jenny took the leap to run her first half marathon and marathon. Trail running and ultra marathons are currently her passion and what motivates her to get out the door. In recent years, Jenny has completed adventures such as the Grand Canyon Rim-to-Rim-to-Rim, Zion Traverse, North Fork 50M, and a 2nd place finish at El Vaquero Loco 50K.
